The 2013 Iowa Beekeeping Course Listing is now available. Some courses have or will be beginning soon, so take a moment to find an exciting course offering near you! One of the best ways to learn beekeeping is to take one of these courses. There are good books on beekeeping, however having your questions answered by an experienced beekeeper is priceless. Also beekeeping is local. The beekeepers teaching these courses have their experience rooted in the Iowa environment. Keeping bees is not the same in Florida, Texas, or California. And to top it all off, beekeepers love to share the excitement and experiences they have had keeping honeybees. Take a beekeeping course and join in the fun!

The 2012 IHPA Annual Meeting Agenda is now available. Come checkout the great line up of events for the 100th Annual Meeting. Guest speakers are Katie Lee from the University of Minnesota. David Mandes commercial beekeeper from Fort Myers, FL. Lee Heine, 35 years as the Watertown, WI Dadant branch manager, and long time supporter of the IHPA and its Youth and Queen Programs. Amy Toth Assistant Professor from Iowa State University. Bob Cox the former Iowa State Apiarist, currently with the USDA Honey Bee Research Lab in Weslaco, TX.

We hope to see you there! The Annual Meeeting is a great time to learn and enjoy catching up with your fellow beekeepers.
